I've been watching our Slovenian national basketball team write
history. We've participated 6 times in the Euro Championships but never
made it to the quarterfinals. With Greece, France and Bosnia in our group and our NBA guard Beno Udrih injuring his knee, things didn't look promising at all. The first pesimist were already fortelling a new fiasco.
The Slovenians have always had potential, but it has never materialized into a medal at an international competition. It will be the same in Belgrade - they are talented enough to climb on the podium. But as always, it will take more than talent, so the Slovenians went to work real early...

But with two games played, we're at the top of our group C. And with one game of the first round left, we're already in the quarterfinals! It's times like this that make me proud to be a Slovenian! And for those of you who do not know it, there's really only 2 million of us out there :)
