Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year!
It's been another busy year for me, with loads of changes, but two of the biggest came right at the end. I have decided to leave my position with Dhimahi and have joined a growing power called Thirdframestudios. There were many reasons for this, but the biggest was the need for change and the opportunity to work on different platforms and languages. All in all I will always cherish my time spent with Dhimahi and its crew. My time at the university is coming to an end and this seemed to be...

Another year has come and gone
It's been a big year for me. I got featured on a number of sites, got everything done in time for the CSS Reboot Fall and got a job at Dhimahi. I even got around to start watching Futurama, and haven't stopped since :) This little blog wannabe has gotten quite a few visitors, topping out at 6118 in November (mostly due to CSS Reboot) and now has a steady flow of feed readers, even if I'm not writing much these days. So what's in store for this little playground of mine in 2006 Well a new...

R.I.P.
Just found out that earlier this month, one of the funniest man by my account had died. Richard Pryor was, as he would've said, one funny mother fu*ker. He was the first african american to make a living from telling jokes, and he did it without shame, attacking subjects like sex, drugs and rasism. He had been battling multiple sclerosis for the past 20 years and on December 10th he died at the age 65 of a heart attack. Richard, you will be sadly missed!

iPod nano
Hell yeah :) I bought one too. And the name suits it best. It really is impossibly small. I couldn't belive my eyes when I saw it, let alone held it in my hand. At 64 grams it feels like carying next to nothing. Amazing. I got the 2gb black version and this little big player has a load of features. The thing I fell in love with right away is the Click Wheel. Impossibly simple. All it takes is a few minutes to get used to it. Take everything you love about iPod and shrink it. Now shrink it...

Snowfalkes *
I just can't help myself. Each year when the first snowflakes of the winter start falling you'll find me standing in the middle of our driveway, gazing up at the sky. Like a two year old, smiling for no particular reason. Just for the heck of it. Listening to the quiet and filling my loungs with the cold air. Peace and quiet. In general I find winter more to my liking. More than summer. It's a close call. It goes down to this: In the summer, you tend to get hot, so you take your clothes of,...

Working hard or hardly working
Long time no nothing right. Well, I've been keeping busy. I've got two projects that are coming out real soon and on top of that there's studies and my soon-to-be-new job at Dhimahi. Not to mention CSS-Rebot wich is right around the corner. Well, enough slacking around. Got to get back to work :)

Good times
For a change. So far this year was nothing to get too excited about, but things seem to be taking a 180 degree turn. As I wrote recently, hribar.info was featured on CSS-Mania, and now Desgin Shack has deemed my design to be good enough to be featured on their site as well. The 6 received lists me among some great designers like Jason Santa Maria and Mark Steinruck, who I really admire, so it's an honour. Design Shack offers regular examples of great CSS, standards based design to help...

I've made up my mind to buy, but wich one?
First of all why a laptop? Trendy? Geeky? Fashionable? No. I just think I'm not as productive behind the desk as I could be if I'm mobile. I can bring my laptop to client meetings and show them the current project phase on the laptop instead of looking for a computer with internet connection and uploading everything to a server from home (OK, I guess it works, but I'm getting a bit tired of it all). Another reason is WiFi with quite a few access point in my city. The list goes on...

Come out come out wherever you are
I'm not playing hide and seek. Just keeping busy with the upcoming exams and site releases. So don't expect much from me for the next few weeks or so. I'll try to post some links that are worth your look, but other than that I guess you're on your own :)Keep your fingers crossed all goes as planned.I've also started work on the css-reboot design and I think all is going acording to my shedule I've set for this particular project. Glimpses of the new design will not be made public so I guess...

Widget bliss
Konfabulator. What is it? Whatever you want it to be. Sounds confusing? Let's see if we can shed some light on the subject: Konfabulator is a JavaScript runtime engine for Windows and Mac OS X that lets you run little files called Widgets that can do pretty much whatever you want them to. Widgets can be alarm clocks, calculators, can tell you your WiFi signal strength, will fetch the latest stock quotes for your preferred symbols, and even give your current local weather. That's more like...

First post
So much has been done, so much has yet to be done. But for what its worth, this is the first post on this brand new personal portfolio. I've had this blog looking site on my hard drive for quite some time before I finnaly decided to put the whole thing online. And so hribar.info came to life.
